Mouse Computer Stick Features 64GB and Windows 8.1 Pro

Mouse Computer of Japan has released their version of the Intel Compute Stick that features Windows 8.1 Professional and 64GB of storage. Currently this is the only compute stick that I know of that offers these specs. Intel is expected to launch upgraded compute stick models later this year that feature the Intel Core M processor and 64GB of eMMC flash storage when they release the Intel Cedar City Compute Stick. The Mouse Computer Stick costs around $322. This seems like a lot but lets take the standard Intel Compute Stick’s price, $149.99 and add Windows 8.1 Professional $135. The price would be $284.99. Now add a Sandisk 32GB microSD card for $14, our total price would be $298.99. it comes out to be cheaper,…

Lenovo Ideacentre Stick 300

Lenovo has seen how popular the Intel Compute Stick has become in just a short amount of time and they decided they wanted to get in on the action as well. I see Lenovo as a great brand and company. They have excellent customer service and outstanding products. Their newest product coming out is the Ideacentre Stick 300 and it is expected to release in July. My guess is that they will release this on or before the Windows 10 release date which is July 29th. The Lenovo…

MeegoPad TB05 Dual Boot Android & Windows 8

The MeegoPad TB05 has taken the newly released Intel Compute Stick and added the option of Android 4.4 OS as well. Basically it has the same chassis as the Intel compute stick but instead of the Intel logo it has the Meego Pad logo. The gerneric MeegoPad Tb05 also has the same specs as the Intel compute stick with 32GB of onboard flash memory storage and 2GB of ram. It also has built in WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0. The downside of this device is that it only comes with a Windows 8.1 testing version and you will have to activate the windows license yourself. They also state that Android 4.4 is supported but they do not install it for you at the factory. You will have…

Intel Compute Stick Overscan Fix for Samsung TVs

So I plugged in my Intel Compute Stick into my Samsung TV and noticed that the resolution was set at 1920 x 1080 60p for both the TV and the compute stick. However, the screen was still cut off due to overscan. After some playing I noticed that Only port 1 of my Samsung TV was capable of displaying a computer screen via HDMI. The other HDMI ports would display the picture but you can see that it was cut off like the picture below. I then managed to plug the Intel Compute Stick into HDMI port 1 of the TV and it was still cut off. I decided I needed to mess with my TV settings more to see if I could correct the…
