[Video] Intel Compute Stick Streaming 1440p content

Here is a video of the Intel Compute Stick streaming 1440p content. As you can see in the video above, the Intel Compute Stick struggles to stream 1440p content from YouTube. Now this is a pre-production engineering sample, but my guess is that the specs will be the exact same. It may also have struggled do to a poor Wi-Fi connection. I will have to test again some other time to verify this. Good news, the Intel Compute Stick can stream 1080p just fine, so if you are looking to use this device as a media center type device running Kodi you should have no problem watching movies and TV shows in 1080p. Are there any other test you guys would like to see on…

[Video] Intel Compute Stick Boot Time

Curious to know how fast the Intel Compute Stick really is? Here is a YouTube video showing just how fast the Intel Compute Stick boots from the time you turn it on until the time it reaches the Windows login screen. Please note that this is the pre-production engineering sample from Intel so the specs may change for the final retail version. My understanding is this is pretty much an exact copy of the final version though. The video below shows that the Intel Compute Stick boots up in under 20 seconds. I think that is a reasonable amount of time. What do you guys think?

How To Factory Reset Intel Compute Stick

I have had a few people ask me how to reset the Intel Compute Stick with Windows 8.1 so I am going to post the steps below. Please make sure that before you attempt a refresh, reset, or restore that you backup all of your personal files to an offline device like a USB pen drive external hard drive or a micro sd card. There is a Windows recovery partition on the Intel Compute Stick. You can use this to Refresh, Reset, or Restore Windows. Review: Microsoft Wireless All-In-One Media Keyboard (N9Z-00001)

Today I got to briefly test out the Microsoft Wireless All-In-One Media Keyboard which has a part number of N9Z-00001. I have been waiting to try this for a long time since it looks amazing especially compared to the Logitech K400, which this is the direct competition for. Everything looks so sleek and clean on the keyboard that makes this keyboard an attractive piece of hardware to have laying around in your family room. The Microsoft wireless all in one media keyboard was designed to be a one stop shop for your home entertainment system. It features a full sized keyboard with a multi-touch touchpad so you do not have to have a separate mouse laying around. I really like the media control buttons that…
