Today I got to play with the Rii i8 Mini 2.4GHz Wireless Touchpad Keyboard with Mouse and I have to say it is probably one of the best keyboards around to use with a Compute Stick. First off, not only is is very small, but it also has a built in touchpad so that you do not have to have both a mouse and keyboard.
The Rii i8 Mini features a Mini QWERTY keyboard with multimedia control keys as well as a Built-in high sensitive smart touchpad with 360-degree flip design. Not only does this keyboard have an ergonomically handheld design that is easy to carry and operate, but it also has a built-in removable rechargeable Li-ion battery so you don’t have to worry about constantly buying and swapping batteries. Not to mention the battery life is very long. The only downside of that is that it will shut off after 30 seconds of not using to conserve power. This can be good or bad depending on your situation.
Some people seem to complain that the range is very poor, especially when using a Raspberry Pi. To solve any range issues all you simply need is a very cheap USB extension cable. I simply hooked this up to my Intel Compute Stick and had no issues with range once so ever, so please ignore those negative reviews. The Rii i8 Mini is currently my favorite choice, with the Logitech K400 in a close second mainly because it offers a full size keyboard with touchpad.
What would make this device better is Bluetooth 4 capability, But I know that would only increase cost. Currently you can purchase these for under $20 and if you do not mind color, I think the white is currently cheaper than the black.

I ordered one from Hong Kong a few weeks ago and can’t wait to get my hands on it. Going to use it with a mini-PC on my tv. Mainly running Kodi on Windows 10.
